3/4 cup milk of choice 1 TBSP natural peanut butter (or other nut/seed butter) 1 TBSP cacao (or cocoa) powder 1 banana Add ingredients to blender and blend. Yields about 12 oz. ______________________________________________________________________________________ SIDE NOTES: ~ Very simply. Very delicious. This is one of the first things we make when we get a gallon of fresh, raw milk from our local farm. ~ To turn this into more of a thick, dessert-style, milk shake, simply increase the milk to 1 cup and use frozen banana instead of fresh (slice banana & freeze on tray in a single layer...

Eggs are such a powerful super-food. If your kids (or you) don’t enjoy eating them with toast (and there are no existing allergies or sensitivities), you might want to try getting in a few a week this way: 1 ripe banana 1/2 cup whole milk (or coconut milk) 2 egg yolks 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 TBSP (more or less) pure maple syrup (optional) pinch or 2 of ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional) Puree all ingredients in blender. ____________________________________________________________ SIDE NOTES: ~ This old “egg yolk trick” in the milk shake is one of the best ways to get...

3/4 to 1 cup coconut-milk-tonic** 2 TBSP high-quality protein powder (optional) 1 banana 3/4 to 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit Add to blender (in that order), and blend. Yields one serving (approx 16 – 20 oz). ________________________________________________________________________ SIDE NOTES: **The COCONUT-MILK-TONIC is just coconut milk, thinned out with some water (equal parts of both). Nothing fancy or difficult to prepare. ~ I load the blender in that particular order for a reason. If you add the milk first, you can measure it accurately right in the blender (most blenders have...

1/4 cup hemp seeds 1 cup cold water 1/8 tsp (or more) cinnamon 2 – 3 tsps honey, pure maple syrup (or 5 drops liquid stevia) 1 banana 1 heaping cup of berries (or other fruit) Blend in blender. Makes approximately 16 oz (1 serving) ________________________________________________________________________ SIDE NOTES: ~ I love this, because you don’t have to have any pre-made milk on hand. It makes the milk & the smoothie at the same time! Nice =) ~ Can reduce the hemp seeds to 2 TBSP if you prefer a milder flavor (anywhere between 2 TBSP and 1/4 cup will work, depending on...
